This website is supported by the Dorset Arts Advisory Group (DAAG). DAAG was set up in 1991 to bring together the local authorities at District, Borough and County level with other key players to look at ways of collaborating over arts provision in the county. The County, District and Borough Councils in Dorset, and Arts Council England South West (ACE SW) are all represented on the group which meets quarterly. The group oversees the development of the Arts Council / Local Authority Partnership Agreement and monitors joint service level agreements with key Dorset arts organisations.

This website was produced as part of a youth arts development programme led by Ruth Jones and Caroline Barnes in 2008. In 2006 DAAG funded a two year Dorset Youth Arts Programme to help establish youth arts projects across Dorset.
